While BIS is officially down in some areas of the globe as reported by RIM, many are left without the powerful BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS). Users are experiencing technical glitches when web browsing, sending BBM’s, email. BlackBerry has proven its worth as millions of users have used the internet to vent out their frustration to RIM. But, enough is enough. We’re now on the 3rd day of this outage and BlackBerry subscribers are now getting antsy as RIM is struggling to fix the core switch failure in their infrastructure. Looking over through tweets directed to @BlackBerry and doing a search for “BlackBerry” you can clearly see how powerful the BlackBerry platform really is.

BlackBerry value by its users can be looked at 3 ways.

  1. Sympathetic BlackBerry users who depend on BBM and are letting RIM know how much they miss/want their service back.
  2. The merciless BlackBerry users who are bashing RIM and threatening to switch platforms.
  3. Non BlackBerry users who are “hating” and kicking RIM while they’re down as they know RIM’s feature service is disrupted.
Looking at my list, these users, regardless of what they say show the value RIM has. Whether sympathy or cold hate, they still care. The service is feared.. Feared so bad, RIM is kicked while they are down and are threatened to switch if they do not act fast. So dear RIM, enough is enough. Your users are getting antsy while your critics are having a ball. Many of us are dependent of our BlackBerry smartphones so please fix this issue that has millions disconnected from the world. Check below as users express themselves on the BIS outage issue.
