It was confirmed that an under $500 version of the BlackBerry Playbook was going to be available to us. As discovered, prices will range from $399.99-599.99 depending on the memory model. In my opinion, if true, they are really going to make an impact if a 399.99 version is available for purchase. I like how RIM is being competitive with their tablet. Some of the other tablet manufacturers have launched their tablets between 500-600. I don’t think everyone everyone has half a grand laying around to spend. Check below for pricing models.

All three models will be Wi-Fi-only.RIM said they will be introducing a tablet with wireless carrier connectivity some time in 2012. Watch out for the Playbook to go on sale in the US by the end of Q1 2011. Shortly after, the tablet will reach its way across the global market. Which version are you planning on picking up?
