AT&T, T-Mobile Waive Late Fees, Offer Free Charging After Sandy

AT&T and T-Mobile have really stepped it up to help Hurricane Sandy victims as much as they can on their end as they are waiving late fees and offering free charging at their select locations. T-Mobile announced today that it will continue to provide service to prepaid & contract customers in New York City, Long Island, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania, even if they can’t make a payment on their account at this time. At this point, that offer will run until Nov. 8.

T-Mobile will also allow all users to charge their phones at any T-Mobile store that is operational. The carrier urged people to call ahead to make sure there was power at the location; a store locator is available on T-Mobile’s website.
AT&T, meanwhile, will extend its late-payment window for storm victims who are behind, and waive late payment fees. The company did not specify an end date for the program.
