Secusmart offers encrypted calls for BlackBerry

Ever wanted to have tap-proof conversations? During CeBIT, Secusmart debuted a microSD card with a built-in processor that plugs into phones with a microSD slot.

 

SecuSuite

The SecuSUITE combines secure e-mails, SecuVOICE and SecuSMS and thus protects all areas of mobile communication within one secure application. Security features include

SecuVOICE – The proven Secusmart Security Card provides both encryption and user authentication, so telephone calls are securely protected against tapping and man-in-the-middle attacks. SecuVOICE solution supports BlackBerry® Smartphones version OS 5.0 and higher. The connection is setup between smartphones with the card that’s protected with 128-bit AES encryption.  All phone calls between SecuVOICE users are hardware-encrypted and the participants are identified unambigously. Moreover voice quality stays crytal clear via VoIP.

SecuSMS – SecuSMS is an integral component of > SecuVOICE. With SecuSMS you can encrypt your text messages making them absolutely secure – in all GSM networks worldwide. SecuSMS uses the Secusmart Security Card for secure hardware encryption and 100% certain caller identification. So all recipients of your secure SMS text messages must also be using SecuSUITE. SecuSMS is currently undergoing the approval process for VS-NfD and NATO Restricted security levels.

SecuEMAIL – Mobile e-mails are a must in today’s world of communication. SecuEMAIL protects your e-mail using hardware-based encryption. It additionally facilitates the encrypted synchronization of your contacts and calendar as well as secure archiving of your data.

Secusmart is not exactly targeting average users just yet, thus a price-point for the microSD card has not yet been announced.
