How To Bypass Carrier Updates On BlackBerry Z10 Devices For Software Updates

If you are using the BlackBerry Z10 device on a US carrier and still have not received an OTA update notice or a “You already have latest software” then this article will show you how to bypass carrier updates and update your device.

BlackBerry recently pushed out a nice OS update for BlackBerry Z10 devices, version 10.0.10.85 to be exact, making several improvements to the device through the OS, only problem is I am on the T-Mobile network and did not receive the update. I however updated my device a different way, through the web.

To do so simply open up your web browser and head over to BlackBerry’s software update page, upon entering if you scroll down just a bit you will see a “Update on the web section” with a Check for updates in blue as shown below:

Please note: If update does not appear after checking for updates simply remove your SIM card, connect to a WiFi network and try again, being on the T-Mobile network myself, I was able to update as shown below:

  Another country meaning outside of Canada. Since Canada has been the only carrier to push out this specific update.

nope, it didn’t work for me as well. STL-100-2, unlocked, Australia. even after removing my sim it didn’t show any update for my Z10 either.

if there’s anyone who can post the sideloader installer file it will be much appreciated!

I removed sim card and connected to wifi, then tried web update, but system does not show any update
