Your future BlackBerry Device will be built by Robots

BlackBerry Z30

Yes. Robots. A report coming from BNN explaining the Taiwanese company Foxconn, the now manufacturer for most BlackBerry devices and long-term iPhone manufacturer will soon include Robots to build devices, including BlackBerry’s

The move comes in as Foxconn is reported to be struggling with keeping up with assembly of the iPhone and has decided to build an army of robots, named Foxbots. Each one costs $25,000 and Foxconn is prepping up 10,000 of them. Each Foxbot will be able to assemble 30,000 devices per day and up to 300 million per year.

If this means being able to receive my BlackBerry’s a lot quicker rather than having to be faced with production delays, then so be it. Let’s hope Robots don’t take over everything, right?
