It seems RIM is definitely on the right track on how it reaches out to customers, as BlackBerry was recently awarded the Shorty Industry Award for Best Use of Social Media for Customer Service last March 26, 2012.

In an announcement published on Inside BlackBerry Help Blog, RIM has won, for the second year in a row, a Shorty Award for Customer Service.
In comparison to general Shorty Awards which are “subject to public voting“, the Shorty Industry Awards “are exclusive to the professional industry community,” and are “reviewed by a prestigious panel of expert and celebrity judges.”
