IM+Talk Out of Beta with Free Skype VoIP Calls by Shape Services

Shape Services has tipped us off with an email letting us know that their IM+Talk app is out of beta and available for purchase. Before you purchase it, there is a free 7 day trial offer. The best feature of the IM+Talk app is the ability to make free Skype VoIP calls over WiFi, as well as make VoIP calls over 3G/EDGE.If you are overseas, this app could save you a lot of holiday cash.

Although I have abandoned Shape Services and their IM+ products for Trillian, Shape Services still has my utmost respect. Why? Well because they are pioneers. Back in late ’07 when I had my 8800, IM+ was the coolest app on my device. Not only was connection very fast, but whenever I would receive a message, my Led notifier would blink blue, something that was radical to BlackBerry only 3 years ago. Some IM cross platform apps later, and Berrybuzz, I no longer depend on it like I used to. The new IM+Talk app might just give me the incentive to give them a try again.
