New BlackBerry Bold 9780 Surfaces

Many have been surprised this weekend because a new BlackBerry device is joining the Bold line. New to the family is the addition of the new BlackBerry Bold 9780. Yes, an upgraded 97 model. I’m a 97 Bold user myself, so i’m not sure what kind of effect this new model is going to have on the rest of the regular 9700 users out there. Many can’t wait for the new OS6 to hit, so the positive side of this device is that we know Non-touch devices will be able to handle the new BB6 operating system that is set to launch in the upcoming quarter. I love my 9700, but the new Bold 9780 does not sound bad to have either. Its features are:

  • 512MB of Ram
  • Full Black Bezel
  • OS 6
  • 480*360 Screen
  • GSM
  • 802.11 WIFI

  • Since the 9780 is a  GSM device, keep checking with AT&T and T-Mobile is the U.S to see who picks this up first. What are your thoughts on this device? Are you willing to use your ‘upgrade’ on this?, or wait for a new series such as the BlackBerry 9800, or 9670?
