[URGENT] RIM Calling Vendors- Post Your PlayBook App “Up For Sale” Now!

In preparation of the PlayBook launch nearly one week away, RIM is shooting out emails and calling devs over the phone asking them to take urgent action and post their PlayBook tablet apps “Up for Sale” over at the BlackBerry App World. According to RIM, they are encountering numerous PR opportunities so if your app is “Up for sale”, it might receive some attention from the media. Developers can get their apps for sale by following the 3 easy steps provided by RIM:

  • Step 1: Login to BlackBerry App World Vendor Portal
  • Step 2: Click on your specific apps
  • Step 3: Click on Post it for sale

Dear App World Vendor,

Thank you for submitting your app for BlackBerry PlayBook. We are writing to inform you that your app is approved; however, in order for your app to be live and available for download or purchase YOU need to take the following actions:

Step 1: Login to BlackBerry App World Vendor Portal

Step 2: Click on your specific apps

Step 3: Click on Post it for sale

Please complete this change as soon as possible! There are numerous PR opportunities happening now and if your application is up for sale, it might receive attention from the media. If you want to be live for the launch of PlayBook we ask that you make this change no later than this Friday April 15th so that your app is available when Playbook hits stores on April 19th.
