Umniah Launches BlackBerry in Jordan

Umniah, a leading telecom service provider in Jordan, Emitac Mobile Solutions (EMS) and Research In Motion (RIM) have launched the BlackBerry solution in Jordan. The solution will be available to Umniah’s prepaid and postpaid subscribers with a variety of service plans that cater to consumers and business users alike. To celebrate the launch of the BlackBerry solution, Umniah is offering its subscribers a promotion starting from this month where subscribers can enjoy four months of free service subscription, followed by another four months of a 50 per cent discount, then an additional four months of a JD20 service subscription fee.

“The BlackBerry solution is known for its industry-leading messaging capabilities, reliability and security, and we are pleased to be launching the solution to our customers,” said Ihab Hinnawi, Umniah’s chief executive.

At launch, Umniah will offer the BlackBerry Bold 9700 and BlackBerry Curve 8520 smartphones. It will also offer BlackBerry Enterprise Server and BlackBerry Enterprise Server Express for corporate customers, and BlackBerry Internet Service for smaller businesses and individual users.-TradeArabia News Service
