Linked In is a very social business tool used by many self-employed, home employed or generally employed people. Corporations use it to bring in new talent while some of us use it as a marketing tool. Mike recently added the “In” button to the page and that gave me the push I needed to join Linked In and publish this article. I’m very connected when it comes to social networks and Linked In is just another site that knows my name & email address. With that being said, I would like use Linked In for much more than another social website.

How To: BlackBerry Registration

Having your BlackBerry registered with the wireless network is important. Anyone who has ever use a Blackberry for the first time, has gotten a little message that said: “Your handheld has been registered with the wireless network”. This means your BlackBerry is connected to the servers that Research In Motion manages. All BlackBerry devices must be connected in order to receive data(internet, BBM, MMS). The most common way of knowing when you’re device is connected is by observing the ‘BB’ symbol or the all CAPS letters in the upper right corner of the device screen. The DevBlog has just let us know that the WebWorks SDK for the Tablet OS is now available at version 2.1. New Api’s have been made readily available such as in app payment, camera, PIN and more. The goals for this release are focused on narrowing the gap between the BlackBerry WebWorks API functionality available on the BlackBerry® Smartphone OS and the APIs available on the Tablet OS, as well as exposing more BlackBerry® PlayBook™ tablet development functionality to web developers.

Not only has BlackBerry 6 OS been made readily available for U.S. AT&T users, but Vodafone subscribers have also been hit with a BlackBerry 6 official update. The software update is available for the BlackBerry® Bold™ 9700, BlackBerry® Curve™ 3G and BlackBerry® Pearl™ 3G smartphones. Users can get the update for their handset by connecting their BlackBerry smartphone to their computer through a USB connection, then visit from their computer, click “check for updates” and simply follow the on-screen instructions.
