BlackBerry and T-Mobile in discussions to sell BlackBerry devices again

BlackBerry and T-Mobile are in talks to rekindle their relationship. The two companies did not renew their contract in 2014 which resulted in a promo run by T-Moble that enticed existing BlackBerry users on T-Mobile to jump ship to the iPhone, which CEO of BlackBerry John Chen to condem the actions made by  However, according to T-Mobile’s CEO John Legere, the two companies are in discussion which should result in T-Mobile re-selling BlackBerry devices to customers once again.

BlackBerry and 7Digital Partner Up, Launching New Music Service Soon

It’s been reported that BlackBerry and 7Digital have partnered up and  is set launch a new music service. This comes after 7Digital’s share price took a dip when BlackBerry announced its former music and video catalog would be taken out of the BlackBerry World app store. The new deal, estimated at £1m-plus will offer BlackBerry customers a music service through August 2015. It will be a win-win situation as  BlackBerry users will be able to access the music service and 7Digital will handle all music sales rather than sharing them, turning all of the profits to 7Digital.

BlackBerry evaluating sale of its real estate holdings as it tries to cut its expenses

BlackBerry is trying to cut its expenses by 50%, they have already reported to release 4,500 employees by the end of Q1 Fiscal 2015 in efforts to reduce its operating expenditures, now it seems like via their SEC filing and their decline in emerging markets they are looking to get rid of some real estate, Waterloo offices specifically, around 20 offices within the next three quarters.

BlackBerry 10 C-Series or the next gen curve series shows up in some new photos, sporting surprisingly a Verizon branded back cover showing off 4G LTE capability with 8GB of memory. This device could be the second entry level touch device among the BlackBerry 10 ‘Kopi’ which comes with a physical keyboard to hit the market next year. Prem Watsa confident bid for BlackBerry will succeed

Prem Watsa is very confident that his company’s $4.7 billion dollar bid for BlackBerry will succeed. BlackBerry has up until November 4th to shop for another sale, a higher bid. While Prem’s company Fairfax owns a %10 stake in BlackBerry (biggest shareholder), he strongly believes at the end of their due diligence they will still hold their ground for the current bid.
