For any of you that have the latest leaked OS 10.2.1.1055 on your BlackBerry 10 device and have been loading APK files through the app Snap we want to let you know there is an update available for you. This latest update brings the app to version 1.9.6.0 and is still in a beta stage so download at your own risk. I personally have been using the app though and have no issues at all.

If you aren’t sure what Snap is here’s a brief description for you. Snap is a native app for BlackBerry 10 devices that lets you download apps/apks from Google Play directly to your BlackBerry device running 10.2.1.xxxx OS.

Here’s the new features for version 1.9.6.0

  • Infinite scrolling of Lists and Search results (yay more than 20 results!!).
  • Fix for small text in Recent Changes.
  • General performance improvements on App page.
  • Snap acts as invocation target for Google Play links (must long press and use “Open in”).
  • New Feature: View “Google Play Library” available apps associated with your account that aren’t installed on
    the device.
  • Added Privacy Policy under “Help” (swipe down from top).

If you already have Snap installed or even if you don’t but want to check it out you can grab the bar file here. Please remember once you have the bar file you will need to sideload it like you have in the past.
