RIM Launches the New BlackBerry Bold 9790 and BlackBerry Curve 9380 Smartphones in Vietnam

Available Jan. 15 will be RIM’s newest all touch screen Curve 9380 and the newest Bold family member, the Bold 9790 in Vietnam.

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam – Research In Motion (RIM) (NASDAQ: RIMM; TSX: RIM) today announced the launch of the new BlackBerry® Bold™ 9790 and BlackBerry® Curve™ 9380 smartphones in Vietnam. Powered by the BlackBerry® 7 operating system (OS), the new smartphones both support Vietnamese input methods and a Vietnamese user interface (UI). The two smartphones will be available from authorised resellers through Brightstar Corp. and come with an 18-month warranty with support from local after-sales service centers. The BlackBerry Bold 9790 is expected to be available January 15 and the BlackBerry Curve 9380 is expected to be available in February.
