Review: Brando Workshop Leather Case for BlackBerry Z10 (Ultra-Thin Flip Top)

If you are a regular follower of BlackBerry Empire then I’m sure you saw the review I did last week on the Momax Flip Diary Lattice Series case from Brando Workshop. In that post I mentioned there was a second case I was going to let you know about and it’s now time for that review. This review will be about the Brando Workshop Leather Case (Ultra-Thin Flip Top) for the BlackBerry Z10, and let me say there are some very nice things about it and a couple things that concern me.

As usual with all of the cases I receive from Brando Workshop the Ultra-Thin Flip Top came in a very nice package to protect it during shipping. In fact, this one didn’t come in the hard plastic that I have seen from Brando Workshop in the past but instead came in a very nice box. Inside the box was the case itself, plus a little pouch that held the belt clip accessories in it. Needless to say I was very impressed and happy with the packaging.

Once I took the case out of the box I immediately knew it was made of fine genuine leather and from just feeling it was very excited about my choice to have it protect my BlackBerry Z10. With the case open I could see that there were cutouts in the tray that holds my Z10 for the media keys on one side and the HDMI/USB ports on the other, there is even a cutout on the back for the devices camera. To start protecting my device all I had to do was slide it in the tray, close the cover with the magnetic closure and I was good to go. So simple!

I mentioned earlier, inside the packaging there was a belt clip and now that my device was securely in the case I decided to install it on the case itself. All I had to do was screw it in on the back of the case and clip it on my belt and I now had full function of the Ultra-Thin Flip Top Leather Case.

Now that I had the Z10 in the Ultra-Thin Flip Top leather case and the belt clip attached I was able able to see that it offers high protection, a perfect fit and a very stylish design for my BlackBerry device. There is even a white stiching around the edges of the leather that adds a refined look to the case.

Check out these features:

  • Luxurious genuine leather
  • Magnetic Closure
  • With belt clip
  • Perfect protection and highly durable
  • Stylish design
  • Thin, snug fit, and lightweight

The Ultra-Thin Flip Top leather case has a luxurious look and I’m very happy with it but there are a couple things that I would like to point out. If I decide to take a picture with the device’s camera I can only open the front cover half way (if it opens all the way the top cover blocks the camera) so taking a pic is a little awkward. The other thing is when I open the case and the belt clip is attached the front cover again causes holding the device awkwardly.

I understand that with the current design of the case there’s not much that can be done with my issues (if I don’t use the belt clip it’s almost perfect though) but it’s definitely something I wanted to let you all know about.
