Redox is a new minimalist theme by theme creator Pootermobile. It’s a premium theme using the colorful OS6.1 icons but the beauty of the theme is that you rarely SEE the actual icons. The home screen is clear except for the time and weather slot. The wallpaper is the focal point here as the clock and weather (or OCD slot) are centered but are not overbearing.
The digital clock in the center of the home screen is very easy to read. The weather icon centered below the clock adds a dash of style to the design. Other than a notification bar on the upper right of the home screen, there is a clear view of your wallpaper. A hidden dock is available by pressing SPACE and is dismissed by ESC.
The OS6.1 icons are customized from the default set, so these icons are different than the leaked set. The apps screen is a plain blue background so icons are easy to spot. The steel blue-gray focus icon is the same for the highlight color on the menus.
When you load up Redox, you receive a message box telling you how to navigate the theme. Simple enough. There is a $ hotkey for SMS/MMS and transitions throughout the theme. If you are in the mood for a sleek and simple theme, grab Redox and slap up all your favorite wallpapers.
