OS Released For BlackBerry Z10, Q10, And Q5

wpid 10.2 580x310 OS Released For BlackBerry Z10, Q10, And Q5

If you’re looking for something to play with this weekend Kris, DarcyTallGuy and the rest of the CB leak team have just released OS for all of the BlackBerry Z10, Q10, and Q5 devices. As usual this is a full autoloader with a working radio file already included.

From what I have been reading this seems to be a somewhat stable OS so if you have been waiting for a nice 10.2 OS this seems to be the one to try. The part that I really like about this OS is it appears the watermarked PIN on the screen that were on earlier 10.2 OS’s is finally gone.

Download links:

  • Download OS v10.2.0.1047 for the BlackBerry Z10 STL100-2, and STL100-3 here (STL100-4 can also use this link).
  • Download OS v10.2.0.1047 for the BlackBerry Q10 and Q5 here.
  • Download OS v10.2.0.1047 for the BkackBerry Z10 STL100-1 here.
  • Download OS v10.2.0.1047 for the BlackBerry Z10 STL100-4 here.

Just want to give huge THANKS to Kris, DarcyTallGuy, and all of the leak team for all these OS’s, they are truly appreciated.

Here is how you update your BlackBerry 10 with this OS.

  • Backup your BlackBerry 10 device with BlackBerry Link (the autoloader will wipe your device).
  • Close BlackBerry Link.
  • Download autoloader OS.
  • Turn off the device.
  • Run autoloader.exe (windows Vista 7 and 8 run as admin).
  • When “connecting to Bootrom” appears on system connect your BlackBerry 10 to PC and turn on device.
  • Wait for process to finish and phone to reboot.
  • The update will wipe your device, so you can either restore all the info from your backup through BlackBerry Link or just start fresh if you want.

As always make sure to backup your device before updating to the newest release just to be safe. Also remember BlackBerry Empire is not responsible for anything that may go wrong during the update process. Once you install this latest leak be sure to hit up the comments below and let us know your thoughts on this OS.

Sounds like you are trying to load the wrong OS file onto your device. You have to make sure that you aren’t trying to load the Q10 file onto your Z10 or vice versa. That. Image error is caused by the wrong file being loaded. Just make sure you have the right file for you BlackBerry 10 device and then run the autoloader again and you will be good to go.

I have installed this os, my z10 STL-100-2, the problem is my z10 now cannot playing game 3D such as asphalt 7, spiderman and many more. always back to home screen. its terrible. I thinked this os is not running android runtime 4.1.2 right? thanks

On the q10 you now cannot restore to 10.2 at all if you have more than 1.1gb of data. The restore will get stuck at 408kb

I agree with Michael in the fact that it’s strange based on file size. My restore went smooth and it’s pretty big as well. Did you try to restore the 3 separate files one by one time to see if that will work?

i already do the steps described, but when its connecting to bootroom, there are nothing to copy to device (always full to 100% in a second) and then there are fail notification,
is there any wrong step i take?

I would restart your system and when it’s running again make sure BlackBerry Link isn’t running at all. Then open the .exe file of the downloaded OS that you will be loading which will open a Window that says connecting to Boot Rom then plug in your device (Device should be turned off at this point) and the phone should turn on and the LED will turn green. I know at first it writes something that goes to 100% on the device very fast so you need to wait as it will continue to write the OS on the device (I think there’s 3 sections that you will actually see it say 100% on). Just DO NOT disconnect your phone or mess with it at all till the phone reboots on its own.
