This interview brings up several interesting questions:

    1. Why wasn’t BlackBerry so ready to lock in a deal with Foxconn before?

    2. Why were they the only company taking on water with inventory instead of managing their assets and using the enterprise margin to leverage their hardware division

    3. Will all these financial write offs end the hemorrhaging? (Obviously the answer is yes, and we will see a more cash flow positive BlackBerry in the coming months)

    4. Chen mentions an emerging market strategy, clearly this is the common denominator over the past three transitions of leadership, is this a winning strategy, or is it something BlackBerry has sunk in so much money into that it’s too late to back out and cheaper to keep developing?

I’m on the conservative side when I say, hedging ones position now isn’t a bad idea, however, it comes with huge risk to the on going volatility that BlackBerry has seen in the past year.
