It’s not just the name. It’s not just the phone. It’s a shift from then to now, a top to bottom makeover. While BlackBerry (ex-RIM) was known to continue advancing in mobile device management security and solutions, many felt that on the mobile phone front they had gotten stuck in time. Under Thorsten Heins’ leadership and a new name, BlackBerry is back, it caught up and it only gets better.
We have here a comparison of the BlackBerry Z10 (from Cult of Android) pitted against the flagship devices of all the other big phone makers spec by spec. The BlackBerry Z10 does quite well.

Notice how the BlackBerry Z10 stacks up against the Samsung Galaxy S3? It’s mind blowing. Moving on, I also came across a clip from Mashable where they put the BlackBerry Z10 in the hands of iOS and Android users and asked them to navigate through it for the first time. While the video was meant to bash the new BlackBerry saying its too hard to learn and its “perplexing”, it did however prove one point. It’s a shift from the in/out paradigm and from the dependence on the home button. It’s a whole new and fun user experience. Nonetheless take a look, it’s quite interesting.
It’s a new BlackBerry, it’s a new experience. While it’s still centered around communication as it has been known for, BlackBerry took a whole new approach with the hub. I’m really looking forward to getting my hands on one soon.
