Raypho has done it again. Just when you thought that it couldn’t get any better with the last one he developed, Raypho has recently released his latest and greatest creation, Axel. This one is simply pure genius. Packed with features and options, you can have a different look on your screen just with this one theme. There is no wonder that I have so many of his themes on my berry and why he is a favorite amongst many.
- Default home screen
Axel features a nice large android style clock which is just the perfect size as it does not take away from screen real estate at all. And the silver focus around it is very eye catching. The hidden dock is scrolling and holds 8 of your favorite applications. The OCD slot is centered under the clock and can be hidden. The battery meter is on the bottom left and signal meter on the bottom right. Date and profile icon are to the left of the clock. The notification bar is on the bottom of the screen and again, there is lots of room for the many that are needed. These are the basic elements of the theme…but read on people, the fun does not stop here.
- Hidden today
Axel also has a hidden today with Blackberry Messenger! It is not often that you see your BBM messages on a hidden today. Use alt 3 to show it, and alt 4 to hide. I mentioned the hidden scrolling dock earlier, which is alt 2 to show and alt 4 to hide, but what I wanted to also highlight are the icons…they are custom and they are gorgeous! I love different looking icons as they make it fun to use. And the transparent focus on the icons is just, well, cool.

We are not done yet. Axel allows for a different look to your screen by also including a banner that can be shown or hidden, giving you an entirely new look. Alt 5 will show the banner along with a bottom banner, and hide with alt 6. With this theme you can show the OCD, or not…show the icon dock or not…show the banners or not…show everything…or nothing….your choice. You theme. However you like it. Now that makes for one well thought out theme that allows the user to customize to suit their needs. And of course, whatever option you decide to grace your Blackberry with, your wallpaper will look stunning no matter what. Or you could leave the default black checkered background which matches the app screen, and still have a very sharp looking berry!
