China Mobile Entrepreneurs Stunt with Atlas 8910

It seems like older concept BlackBerry devices are finally being flushed out into the market. The BlackBerry Atlas is a name I heard back going back to the summer when the original Bold 9000 was dropped. At that time, BlackBerry Curve 8900 users anxiously waited for a smaller device that packed the same punch as the Bold. The Atlas never happened, but we saw other concept devices released such as the BlackBerry Tour. The 9700 Bold came out, as well arose the modern Curve 8520 supporting the optical trackpad. We thought the Atlas was scrapped, but some information was released earlier this year which has left BlackBerry users curious up until now. Digital China officially announced the release of the BlackBerry Curve 8910 aka Atlas.

Finalizing  the contract , RIM and The Republic of China have come to an agreement. It is no secret that the special Atlas was designed and released to fit the regulated requirements set forth by the Chinese Government. Since censorship is regulated in China, the BlackBerry Curve 8910 Atlas will now serve as the building block for consumers and entrepreneurs of China. The Atlas is rather limted compared to other BlackBerry Devices, but still offers a substantial ammount of connectivity and productivity to the users of China. This is a political breaking point that goes unnoticed. The Republic of China has always been strict, so it can be applied that the their govenment has slanted to the left with this decision. It is important to keep tabs on this remarkable occurance because Chinas Liberal decision could stimulate foreign policy as well as the economy. It is possible that international relations can be improved between the United States and China and the rest of the BlackBerry driven countries around the world.

Guo Wei, Chairman and CEO, Digital China had some words about the 8910 and its future. This is what he had to say. “Around the world, the BlackBerry solution is recognized as a leading communications and productivity tool. This will surely be beneficial to Chinese professionals and retail customers as their desire to do more while mobile rises.”

With APPWORLD 2.0 around the corner, OS6, and newer products in develpment, expect marketshares and a boosted econmy from not only Canada, but from North America and Asia and well.
